This is it, folks. The following 10 bands completes the line-up for Beyond the Gates 2022:

As we all know, Heilung couldn't make it for the 2022 festival. They will be replaced by Norway's own Satyricon. The band is currently working on their new album, scheduled for release next year.

Unfortunately Malokarpatan had to pull out. We've been so fortunate to have Year Of The Goat take their slot. Together with new addition, Lucifer, they complete the Wednesday Main Stage line-up. Also returning to the fold is Finish black metal legends, Archgoat. Kringa will replace Drottinn on the club stage at Kvarteret.

As previously announced the Mercyful Fate day and the Grieghallen event, featuring Emperor, Mayhem and Enslaved has swapped dates. The latter is now scheduled for Friday Aug 05 and Mercyful Fate will close the festival on Saturday Aug 06.

Now for something completely new: Enter "The Night Shift".

The Night Shift is a brand new concept and consist of a series of club concerts in the center of town, kicking off after the main stage closes. These are headlined by Nidrosian black metal aficionados, Misotheist, heavy metal stalwarts, Portrait, and finally dark synthwave pioner, Perturbartor. Joining in on the club nights are Ominous Resurrection and Phantom Fire.

Please note that these concert requires separate tickets. They are not included in the festival pass.
