Ever since their formative years, Enslaved has been on the forefront of exrteme metal, both in regards to songwriting and leading the genre into uncharted musical landscapes. For this rendition of Beyond the Gates, the band will re-visit their debut album, «Vikingligr Veldi» as a part of the massive event «Grieghallen MCMXCIV» where the originators of the Norwegian Black Metal scene, Emperor, Mayhem and Enslaved will join forces to pay tribute to the roots of the genre in the spectacular confines of Greighallen where the bands debut albums were recorded.
