Paving the way for symphonic and atmospheric black metal, the Notodden outfit, Emperor, is arguable one of the most successful black metal bands of all time. With their landmark debut album «in the Nightside Eclipse», the progressive mastodont, «Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk», these forward thinking guys has set the standard for others to follow. In 2021 Emperor will celebrate three decades of Emperial darkness. Join in on the celebration in Grieghallen August 7th.
